Trying is key

Trying is all I'll ever be.

Hoping desperately in a boat lost at sea,

Wondering if this is it for me.

As I swim above the barriers of the water

I find strength beating inside me,

Yelling my name, telling me not to give up.

It's exhausting really.

I fight a fight I don't even want to be a part of.

Frustrated with all that is

Wondering the what-ifs for eternity.

Struggling to realize the trust I have inside

It's all through Abba I Abide.

Nor doubt, nor fear, nor terrors I dream up,

Nothing in this world can separate the plans, the love, and the purpose

God has for me.

Reminding myself that I can be happy right where I am,

Below the sea.
