Story-Pairing Dinner at the Henderson Beach Resort, Benefiting the Children's Volunteer Health Network

The first-of-its-kind dinner series, brought to you by Emerald Coast Storytellers, involves two things that have been bringing people together for centuries: sharing stories and breaking bread. This November, join us at the luxurious Henderson Beach Resort for an extra special edition benefitting the Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). With stories woven throughout each course, pages will be turned with every delectable bite as we listen along to tales that not only unite but remind us of what it means to be human.

In addition to a fabulous prix fixe menu from the Henderson Beach Resort, a portion of the evening’s proceeds will go towards CVHN’s goal of providing free access to mental wellness programs for children in need throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties.

Representatives from CVHN will lead the night as a handful of local storytellers share their prose, poetry, and spoken tales curated around the night’s theme: Letters to Our Younger Selves. The evening will conclude with our Featured Storyteller who will be offering a glimpse into their own inspiring journey.

About the Children's Volunteer Health Network:

The Children's Volunteer Heath Network, which is commonly referred to as CVHN, eliminates barriers to accessible and affordable healthcare for children in need through mobile solutions and community partnerships. Serving nine schools in Okaloosa and Walton counties, plus community partners such as Children in Crisis and Destin Boys + Girls Club, CVHN's two state-of-the-art Mobile Dental Clinics provide 100% free preventative and restorative dental care to children grades K - 5. These counties lack access to vital health and wellness services for children most in need. Their dental clinic team provides preventative dental health care services to an average of 1100 children each year. They deliver comprehensive dental care, plus hygiene education, and nutrional counseling to help our children take better care of their health at home.
