About the event

The first-of-its-kind dinner series, brought to you by Emerald Coast Storytellers, involves two things that have been bringing people together for centuries: sharing stories and breaking bread. This November, join us for our latest at the luxurious Henderson Beach Resort

With stories woven throughout each course, pages will be turned with every delectable bite as we listen along to tales that not only take us down memory lane but remind us of what it means to be human.

In addition to a fabulous prix fixe menu from the Henderson Beach Resort, we’ll have a handful of local storytellers share their prose, poetry, and spoken tales curated around the night’s theme: Letters to Our Younger Selves. Join us as we embark on a journey within and through time, traversing decades and defeats, triumphs and tribulations, bad haircuts, and plot twists, until we arrive at the people we used to be. What advice would you offer to the person staring back? What unforgettable moments have shaped you since? What are the things you wish you knew then that you know now? Reflect on this journey to the past and use it to accumulate your aspirations for the future. Inscribe it all in a letter, poem, or story, and consider sharing it at our upcoming Story-Pairing Dinner!

The evening will conclude with our Featured Storyteller,  singer/songwriter and visual folk artist Abe Partridge, who will be offering a glimpse into his own inspiring journey.

For those interested in taking the mic, we ask that you purchase a ticket and email emeraldcoaststorytellers@gmail.com ahead of time to be considered for a spot. Please include a little bit about yourself and what you plan to present.

As a bonus, turn the evening into your very own staycation and use promo code STORYTELLERS for 25% off your stay! Book now at www.hendersonbeachresort.com.

About Abe Partridge:

Abe Partridge is a heralded musician, singer/songwriter, visual artist, and podcaster based in Mobile, Alabama.

Since the release of his 2018 debut, Cotton Fields and Blood For Days, which earned him rave reviews, Partridge has toured relentlessly, including several tours of the Netherlands and the U.K. developing a reputation for moving, passionate, and sometimes comedic performances at prestigious songwriter festivals such as 30A Songwriters Festival, Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, and Americanafest. He has performed on the syndicated radio programs, Mountain Stage and Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, and has shared the stage with Morgan Wade, Paul Thorn, Steve Poltz, Dan Bern, Jerry Joseph, Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Tommy Stinson, Shawn Mullins, John Fullbright, and more.

Most recently, Partridge and co-producer Ferrill Gibbs released the Alabama Astronaut podcast, where they explore songs previously undocumented at churches in Appalachia.

When Partridge is not writing or touring, he is also a highly acclaimed visual artist. His paintings, primarily acrylic on tarred board and watercolors, now hang in art galleries around the southeast and in the private collections of Tyler Childers, Mike Wolfe (American Pickers), Rick Hirsch (Wet Willie), and Tommy Prine. His artwork was featured in Stephen King’s 2019 sequel to The Shining - Dr. Sleep, as well as Charlie Parr’s Last Of The Better Days Ahead (Smithsonian Folkways) and Tyler Childers’ 2022 release, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?

American Songwriter Magazine said, “Abe Partridge has established himself as one of the most respected songwriters and visual folk artists in the southeast.”
