Every piece of writing begins with a spark — a voice, an image, a question, a memory you can’t quite let go of.

In this first session, literary coach Gentry Bronson will help you transform that spark into a clear, workable concept you can actually begin writing from. Bring whatever you have: a vague idea, a character, a setting, journal notes, a poem fragment, or even a rough chapter. Through guided discussion and hands-on exercises, you’ll shape your idea into the foundation of a real project.

Together we’ll explore:

• What you want to write — memoir, fiction, poetry, essays, or hybrid work

• Genre, tone, and the writers who influence your voice

• The five essential story questions: who, what, where, when, and why
