About the event
Fire in the Belly is a bold, welcoming space for writers who are ready to stop editing themselves, dig beneath the surface, and discover the stories still burning to be told.
Led by singer, memoirist, and creative guide Amy Stokes, each session invites you to explore the Emerald Coast Storytellers monthly theme or follow a fresh writing prompt of your own. Consider it a choose-your-own-adventure writing night: come with a story already stirring, or arrive with a blank page and see what finds you.
Through guided prompts, dedicated writing time, and the energy of a supportive creative community, you’ll practice trusting your voice, transforming vulnerability into art, and shaping personal experiences into stories you may even want to share at an upcoming Emerald Coast Storytellers Open Mic Night.
Writers of all ages and experience levels are welcome. No polished draft—or plans to perform—required.
