About the event
As part of Distilled: An Artist Series at Distillery 98, join Wes Hinds for a hands-on workshop exploring the foundations of graffiti-inspired lettering and personal mark-making.
In this guided session, Wes will walk participants through the process of creating their own graffiti “tag”—a name, nickname, or alias expressed through letter style, movement, and embellishment. No prior experience necessary.
In this workshop, you’ll:
• Choose a name, nickname, or alias to work with
• Explore different lettering styles, including bubble letters, sharp lettering, and wildstyle-inspired forms
• Learn how to add character and personality using arrows, stars, crowns, drips, and other classic elements
