April Storytellers: Santa Rosa Beach

This month, we’re opening the doors a little wider.

Join us for a special edition of Emerald Coast Storytellers centered around our April theme, Family Ties—an evening designed to welcome both our longtime community and a new generation of storytellers.

We’ll begin the night with a family-friendly first act featuring our April Featured Storyteller, Maria Galati Hill, sharing her story and reading from her new children’s book, Joe Boating—a heartfelt reflection on family, life on the water, and the stories that shape us.

We’re also inviting a few of our youngest voices to the stage, as Junior Storytellers (ages 13 & under) share their own work.

The space will be set with cozy blankets, rugs, and pillows—so kids can settle in, stretch out, and experience storytelling in a way that feels natural and welcoming.

After a brief intermission, the night will transition into our traditional open mic format—where the floor…
